Siberian State Medical University (SibMed) is among the TOP-3 best medical universities in Russia. In 2017 SibMed obtained the status of the only flagship medical university in Russia. Moreover, the University was selected by the Government of the Russian Federation to take part in the implementation of the project aimed at increasing education exports in Russia. It is remarkable that SibMed is one of the 2 specialized universities selected to work on this project.

SibMed is one of the few institutions in Russia that has its own multidisciplinary university hospital. This affects the teaching staff and student body to a large extent. The teaching staff consists of 80% of specialists with academic degrees and titles and 50% practicing doctors. Our students have a unique opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom at the clinics. What is more, the university hospital is not only the place where research and education is conducted but also it welcomes more than 100 thousand patients from all over Russia annually.

In addition to the multidisciplinary hospital, SibMed students can receive training at the modern simulation center, which is one of the two centers in the Russian Federation that has received accreditation by the European Society for Simulation in Medicine (SESAM).

The Research Library of the Siberian State Medical University is the only publicly accessible medical library in the Tomsk Region, the largest specialized library in Siberia. It is regarded to be the best library in Russia among medical universities under the annual libraries ranking compiled by the Academy of Evidence-Based Medicine in 2016.

In 2015 SibMed became the first medical university in Russia to be accredited by the Skolkovo Technopark.

Admission process in Siberian State Medical University:

Documents required:

10th, 12th/Inter marksheets

After submitting the documents the university will issue the admission letter for the student.

The student must submit copies of valid passport for the issuance of invitation letter.

University will issue the invitation letter for study visa & student’s entry to Russia.

Student must submit original marksheets, passport & few additional documents for study visa from embassy.

Our team will guide and help you through the whole process including currency exchange and ticket booking.

On the day of the departure the students will be gathered at the airport and will be brought in groups to Siberia by our representatives.

They will also assist you in getting your medical checkup, visa extension, contract signing etc.

Duration of course and method of education:

Total duration of course: 6 years
Medium of instruction:
All the classes, lectures and exams are conducted in ENGLISH by well experienced teachers and doctors who are well fluent in English. There are different departments for different subjects where the student can get most of the knowledge along with practical skills. For example there is a separate anatomy building for anatomy subject where the student can learn this subject with cadavers and models. The students get to learn medicine subject in the hospitals where they can interact with the patients and discuss their medical condition with their respective teachers.
